
| What You Need To Do: 1. Make your groups of four. 2. Choose 3-5 stocks from the NYSE and look up the past closing data for at least 2 weeks. The data can be found at this website (you can go back further if you want). For information on how to read a stock chart you can go here. 3. Post a graph and data table from excel into the class wiki and mention how much you will invest in each stock. Also include how many shares you will be able to buy with the amount you are investing. 4. Ask one question to each of the other groups on the class wiki. 5. Keep track of the closing data for your stocks for 2 weeks. 6. Answer the questions asked to your group. 7. Create a graph depicting all your stocks for the 2 or 4 weeks of data you have for them. 8. Calculate how much money you gained/lost and include a brief summary of the closing data. This information should be found on your spreadsheet. 9. Write a paragraph explaining whether you think the stock market is a wise investment. This should also be put on your spreadsheet. 10. Presentations! |
